Memorial Day Ceremony at Cornerstone Park!

Coral Academy teachers, students, and Executive Director & CEO Mr. Ercan joined the #MemorialDay ceremony at Cornerstone Park at 9 am and honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our Nation.

Over 400 flags were placed as a symbol of patriotism, pride, and reverence. 

 

Thanks to The City of Henderson, Mayor Romero, and the City Council for hosting the Memorial Day Ceremony to honor the sacrifices of U.S. military service members.

 

Coral Academy Cadence students recited the Gettysburg Address.

 

Civil Air Patrol Color Guard, including a Coral Academy Sandy Ridge student, presented a Color Ceremony.

 

During the ceremony, Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero and Congresswoman Dina Titus provided remarks along with special guest Colonel Jerry A. Brown, a Congressional Legislative Liaison for the 63rd Readiness Division responsible for providing congressional and legislative support on behalf of the Chief, Army Reserve to Army Reserve commander of the 63rd Readiness Division.
