Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Sandy Ridge has been a beacon of excellence in education, and I am proud to share some remarkable achievements and insights into our school's ethos.

 

Over the last two years, we have achieved a 100% graduation rate, a testament to the dedication of our students, teachers, and the collaborative efforts of our entire school community. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the commitment we have to providing a rigorous and college-preparatory curriculum that prepares our students for the challenges of the 21st century.

 

Our commitment to STEM education is evident in the diverse range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered—23 in total—providing students with opportunities to explore and excel in various fields. Within our AP program, we are pleased to report a significant increase in the proportion of students achieving passing scores, as evidenced by the 2023 AP Exam results. An impressive 72% of AP exam participants earned scores of 3 or higher, showcasing our commitment to delivering challenging academic opportunities to our students. Furthermore, the total number of students taking AP exams has seen substantial growth, increasing from 221 in 2019 to 364 in 2023. The average ACT score of 22.6 showcases the academic prowess of our students, while an impressive 92% college acceptance rate in 2023

 

At Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Sandy Ridge, we believe in nurturing the whole child. While our curriculum is STEM-focused, we also emphasize the importance of humanities and social sciences, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education that equips them with the skills and understanding needed in today's technologically oriented and global environment.

 

Our classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including multimedia tools, smart boards, Chromebooks, 3D printers, and other online resources. This technology is seamlessly integrated into our teaching methods, fostering engagement, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking among our students.

 

We understand the unique interests and learning styles of each student and strive to provide a diverse range of offerings to captivate and inspire. Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in our small class sizes, project-based learning, and ongoing teacher development that ensures the highest quality instruction for all.

 

The success of our curriculum is not only measured through academic achievements but also through our continuous evaluation and renewal process. Our academic team meets regularly to assess curriculum needs based on interim data. Subcommittees, consisting of teachers and administration, are dedicated to evaluating and updating curricula to meet the high standards set by CASLV.
